2026 Genesis GV80 3.5T Prestige Black: Kirkland Buyers Guide
Quick Answer: 2026 Genesis GV80 3.5T Prestige Black
The 2026 GV80 3.5T Prestige Black is the flagship, priced from $83,250 MSRP with all-wheel drive, and Genesis describes it as a limited-availability trim. It uses the same 375-horsepower, 391 lb-ft twin-turbo V6 as the other 3.5T trims, wrapped in black or white exterior colors with black badging and trim, quilted Nappa leather and a power-adjustable second row. EPA estimates are 16 city, 22 highway and 19 combined mpg.
A GV80 dressed entirely in black
Most trim ladders get you to the top by stacking features. Prestige Black takes a different route: the mechanical side matches the 3.5T Prestige, and what changes is attitude. The grille, badges and trim pieces are blacked out, the exterior is offered only in black or white, and the cabin follows through with quilted Nappa leather. Genesis has described the trim as the highest tier of GV80 refinement, and it is made in limited numbers, so it may not be on the lot every time you stop by.
Seen in person, the effect is a calm one. On a gray day under Totem Lake's evergreens it reads almost like a silhouette, and the details only show up when light catches the mesh of the grille or the stitching on a seat.
Mechanically, it is the same V6
A quick clarification, because it comes up often: the Prestige Black does not use the 409-horsepower electric-supercharged engine from the GV80 Coupe. It carries the same twin-turbo 3.5-liter V6 as every 3.5T SUV trim, with 375 horsepower, 391 lb-ft and the 8-speed automatic. The all-wheel drive system and Terrain Mode Select settings are the same, too, so rain and snow capability do not change from the 3.5T Prestige.
How it compares
At $83,250, the Prestige Black costs $920 more than the 3.5T Prestige. The decision usually comes down to style rather than equipment: if the black-and-white palette and quilted interior speak to you, it is hard to argue against. If you would rather have a wider color choice, the standard Prestige is the better match. Seating arrangements can differ on this trim, so confirm five or seven seats before you commit. The GV80 overview places it against the rest of the lineup.
Finding one
Limited-availability trims move quickly, which is a reason to talk with the sales team early. Ask whether one is on the lot or in transit, and take the time to sit in it, since the dark finish photographs differently from the way it appears in person.
